my Thanksgiving

This is a tad bit late, but this is the first time I've had the time or felt like blogging.
My Thanksgiving was interesting-- I'll break it down for ya.
Tuesday I went to my home town. 3.5 hour drive.. nearly hit a deer.
The deer was so close we literally locked eyes.
My mom & grandparents and I spent Tuesday evening together & ate at my favorite steak restuarant.
Keep in mind I do not eat steak haha, but they've got good ranch dressing.
Wednesday I met my dad for lunch then made & ate an entire cheesball.
That night my grandparents and mom and I celebrated Thanksgiving & played Yahtzee.
It was awesome.
Then Thursday morning I got up at the crack of dawn and came back home to Austin.
I came home changed super fast/got ready & headed over to Tiel's parents.
With me I had a new cheeseball (3x as big), Wine, & a present for his sweet grandparents.
We hung out the entire day watching football and eating more cheese.
There is never a dull moment when I am there and I love it.
Thursday night Tiel and I met up with quite a few friends and I got to see Anna
(my bff)
Friday -- blahhhh -- Tiel & I were SO sick. I slept half the day. waa.
Saturday we hung out at his parents again & I helped his mom decorate their Christmas tree.
We only broke 2 ornaments...
Later that night we all got together & went to Perry's Steakhouse
ohh my SOOO GOOD.
Tiel got a pork chop that was literally bigger than Mimzie.
Okay so now for the good stuff- Sunday we got ALL of the living room furniture!
coffee & end table, entertainment system, couch, & two chairs
We found everything from Crate & Barrell and World Interiors.
Now we just need:
a rug or 5
barstools
wall art/clock
drapes & currtain rods

I am praying we get in before Christmas, but as long as it is before New Years I'm fine.
They are starting to put the rock on tomorrow.. photos to come!

relapse

Sooo
It happened again.
I was going through my typical "I'm too busy to blog phase"
but I'm back.

We have had optional overtime at work so I've been working 11 hour days here and there.
needless to say I have been a little worn out

The casa is coming along nice!
Roof on & plumbing done.
I went out and spent entirely too much money on a dining room table from Crate&Barrel.
Really makes you realize how much it takes to earn a dollar.

I do not have all that much to say, but I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!
xm radio is now playing holiday music so I'm ready for the holidays.
Now only if it would get cold!

oh ya Tiel isn't shaving for all of november
it's so bad.
I like it.

building on up

This weekend/few days off were pretty crazy.
My ranch was recognized at the state capital this past Thursday for being in the same family for 100 years.
(it actually is 103 years)
& I got to spend a lot of time with my family.
I feel like I need a vacation haha
I drove all of my family members past Tiel's house that he is building..
& every time I drove by they had done more.
Tiel drove by today and said they have started on the 2nd story!!

check it out

I went around with my mom to different stores..
WS
Restoration Hardware
Crate & Barrel
Target
Pottery Barn
& I am sooo overwhelmed with what to fill this house with.
I finally made a decision on the bedding
& found a bunch of stuff "I don't need"..
much more to come

Miss. Jelly Jones

Happy day after Halloween.
When I first started work I knew Halloween was a big deal,
but I had no idea HOW BIG OF A DEAL it was.
Let me just start by saying we began prepping for Halloween back during the first week of September.
From there we had a list of roughly 17 different ideas to choose from.
We decided to go with "under the sea"..
So, basically a clown fish would dress as a clown.
catfish would be a cat
rainbow fish would go all rainbowish.. that was what I was going to be.
THEN BAM.
I thought .. JELLLLY FISHHHH
but how would one dress as a jar of jelly?
well .. I will show you what MISS JELLY JONES did.
(ps my last name is Jones.)

That's right.
laundry hamper + purple tissue paper + fabric over a cut sombrero = jelly jar
don't be jelly of my jelly outfit
I got 1st runner up in the individual contest
a pair of boobies beat me
because they totally should have haha isn't their costume the best!!

I helped hot glue it together, so I feel like I attributed to their winning a little bit.

as a team.. but missing Amy, the angel fish!

Me & Shay!
